Horizon
: the evolving coffee maker
Horizon tackles sustainability with an aim for longevity.
Its modular design adapts effortlessly to your evolving coffee preferences, offering a personalized brewing experience.
Constructed from sustainable materials, it’s built to last, embodying a commitment to durability and permanence.

Problem
: excessive coffee appliance disposal
3 rationales for coffee appliance disposal
First, maintenance and wear. Over time, coffee makers can wear out, malfunction, or become difficult to clean.
Second, upgrade to newer models. Upgrading to a newer, more advanced, or more aesthetically pleasing coffee maker.
Lastly, space constraints. Downsizing or reorganizing the kitchen leads to disposing of less used appliances.

3 solutions to counter rationales
First, easy-to-replace and modular components with self-maintenance features to extend its usability.
Second, modular components that can be upgraded individually to improve function or appearance without replacing the whole machine.
Lastly, a space-efficient and configurable system with detachable or stackable modules that allow adaptability to different kitchen layouts.

Kettle
: the center of the system
The kettle module serves as the central heating unit, providing a versatile and efficient solution for water heating. Designed with adaptability in mind, it can function as a standalone unit or seamlessly plug into the drip coffee maker module. By centralizing the heating function, it reduces redundancy in the system and allows users to customize their brewing setup based on their needs.

The kettle locks into the induction-heated base, creating an airtight connection. When linked to the drip coffee maker, this connection allows heated water to flow directly to the shower head, ensuring seamless module integration and removing the need for a separate water heating component.

Drip Coffee Maker
: the perfect cup every time
The drip coffee maker operates in partnership with the kettle, utilizing its heated water and directing it to the shower head. The water is evenly
distributed over the coffee grounds in the brew basket, extracting flavor as it passes through. The brewed coffee then flows into the carafe or mug
below, consistently delivering a well-crafted cup of coffee every time!

When pushed into place, the brew basket locks securely, ensuring stability during brewing and proper alignment for even water flow

Manual Coffee Grinder
: grind anywhere and everywhere
The hand-cranked coffee grinder provides consistent grind quality, exceptional durability, and convenient portability. Its operation without electricity
makes it an environmentally friendly choice and ideal for travel. The grinder's quieter performance compared to electric models, combined with its
precise control over grind size, enhances the overall coffee-making process, providing a superior and refined experience.

Equipped with high-quality burrs instead of blades, a more consistent grind size is produced, which leads to more uniform extraction.

Automatic Coffee Grinder
: same grinder, different motor
The automatic coffee grinder uses the same grinder module as the manual coffee grinder, but it's paired with an effective motor to offer quick,
effortless grinding with just a push of a button. Its speed and ease of use make it especially suitable for busy mornings or when preparing coffee for
multiple people, while its reduced manual effort and advanced features help achieve proper coffee extraction and flavor.

Remove the grinder from the hand crank and connect it to the motorized system.

Carafe
: to serve and store
The carafe holds and serves brewed coffee while preserving its temperature and freshness. It features a double-wall construction that retains heat
for extended periods and provides protection from the hot contents. The form facilitates easy handling and safe, precise pouring.

The carafe is primarily utilized as a French press and as a larger vessel for serving brewed coffee.

Pour Over
: for the enthusiasts
The pour-over system offers a manual brewing method that prioritizes precision and control over the coffee extraction process. A cone-shaped glass
dripper holds the filter at an optimal angle to ensure even brewing. Ground coffee is then placed in the filter, and hot water is carefully poured over
the grounds, allowing the user to control the steeping process and monitor the extraction for a refined and balanced cup of coffee.

A glass pour-over is often considered optimal due to its ability to maintain a neutral taste profile and its aesthetic appeal.

Mug + Cup
: when grandma's mug isn't cutting it
The mugs and cup contribute to an elevated Horizon experience by promoting both resource efficiency and sustainability. The mugs are crafted
using the same materials as the rest of the product line, ensuring consistency while reducing waste. The modular cup serves multiple purposes
throughout the system, from securely holding the mugs to prevent splashing during brewing to accommodating more coffee grounds, it does it all!

The mug enhances the drinking experience with its aesthetic appeal and emotional connection, making each sip more enjoyable and meaningful.

The modular cup elevates mugs during brewing to prevent splashing, holds extra coffee grounds, and can also function as stylish glassware.
